Notes

'Bubblegum' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Bubblegum') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen planting, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It stays evergreen and grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. Pink flowers open from early to late spring and attract hummingbirds, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Red trillium, and Green Spice coral bells.
