Notes

'Chionoides' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Chionoides') is a shrub for hedges, foundation planting, and understory spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist soil. Ivory-white bell-shaped flowers with yellow-gold-flecked throats open in early to late spring and attract bees. Rabbits tend to pass it by. You can prune it after flowering.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Rainbow's End hosta, and Primrose.
