Notes

'Bubbly Wine' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Bubbly Wine') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching form stays low, and it blooms in spring and again in summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Christmas fern, Sedge, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
