Notes

'Buffalo Girl' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Buffalo Girl') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms are huge and wine to deep pink, shading to white at the petal tips. Good stiff stems hold the flowers up well. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.

Pairs well with Phantom panicle hydrangea, Sedge, Grape hyacinth, and Knapweed.
