Notes

'Burma Ruby' peony (Paeonia 'Burma Ruby') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The single red flowers have purple shading and a sweet fragrance. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum, Nodding onion, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
