Notes

'Burst of Spring' peony (Paeonia 'Burst of Spring') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its deep pink, semi-double flowers face upward and draw bees and butterflies, and the compact, upright plant needs no support. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Adelman Peony Gardens introduced it.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Stained Glass hosta, and Black Hero tulip.
