Notes

'Butterfly Heaven' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Heaven') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching stems carry fragrant lilac purple blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Ornamental onion, and Black Baccara rose.
