Notes

'Carter' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Carter') is an evergreen shrub for borders, woodland gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to wet soil. It grows slowly in a columnar shape and blooms in winter and spring. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with White bigleaf hydrangea, Boxwood, and Cobra lily.
