Notes

Carthusian pink (Dianthus carthusianorum) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees. Deer tend to browse other plants first. The blooms are fragrant, and the foliage stays evergreen.

Pairs well with Drumstick onion, Sea holly, and First Knight fountain grass.
