Notes
'Cascade' common hop (Humulus lupulus 'Cascade') is a vine for privacy screens, accents, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or chalky soil. It climbs fast and can reach 12 to 15 feet tall. The green blooms appear in summer and autumn, and they are fragrant and attract butterflies. Deer tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Virginia creeper, Big bluestem, and Rose.
