Notes

'Willamette' common hop (Humulus lupulus 'Willamette') is a vine for privacy screens, pollinator gardens, and accent planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or chalky soil. It grows rapidly, so give it a tall, sturdy support to climb. The plant is fragrant and attracts butterflies. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Etoile Violette clematis, Lucifer montbretia, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
