Notes
'Cassis' clematis (Clematis 'Cassis') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The double flowers are cream with warm purple veins and bloom almost constantly from late spring until fall. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Prune it as group C.
Pairs well with Jane magnolia, Green Spice coral bells, Jeana garden phlox, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
