Notes

'Cecilia' peony (Paeonia 'Cecilia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms are single goblets of fringed bright cherry red petals that attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Ox-eye daisy, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Polish Spirit clematis, and Carlton daffodil.
