Notes

'Celestial Star' forest gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'Celestial Star') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its dense evergreen growth carries fragrant blooms in spring, summer, and autumn, and bees and birds visit them. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it room to reach about 35 to 47 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Cherry laurel, Society garlic, and Carolina jessamine.
