Notes

'Ceres' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Ceres') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double blooms in crimson, which make a bold show in the garden and look lovely in a vase. Max Leichtlin bred it, so it has a long history in gardens.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Green Spice coral bells, and Paperbark maple.
