Notes

'Chalice Drops' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Chalice Drops') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays short at 26 to 28 inches tall and has a good habit. The large, double purple flowers are reliable. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and it first bloomed in 1992.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Lady of the snows, Greig's tulip, and Annabelle hydrangea.
