Notes

'Champagne' peony (Paeonia 'Champagne') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. White blooms with pinkish tints and dark red centers open in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Jeana garden phlox, Earth Angel hosta, Korean spice viburnum, and Stargazer lily.
