Notes

'Chaparral' white mulberry (Morus alba 'Chaparral') is a tree for food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast into a rounded shape and can reach 6 to 8 feet tall and 8 to 12 feet wide. Whitish green flowers open in early to late spring, and birds visit the tree. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Apple, Juneberry, Honeyberry, and Tall fescue.
