Notes
'Early Bird' white mulberry (Morus alba 'Early Bird') is a tree for food gardens, grown for its black fruit. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This tree likes full or part sun. It ripens earlier than any other mulberry, with the first fruit in June to early July. Fruit keeps coming through summer, which extends your harvest. It is self-fertile and grows 12 to 15 feet high.
Pairs well with Golden Delicious apple, Salmonberry, and Korean spice viburnum.
