Notes
'Unryu' white mulberry (Morus alba 'Unryu') is a tree for food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its gnarled and twisted branches add shape to the winter garden once the leaves fall. It stays compact and produces black berries, and it is self-fertile.
Pairs well with High-bush blueberry, Juneberry, Grape hyacinth, and Christmas fern.
