Notes
'Chauvierii' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Chauvierii') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its lilac blooms stand out in a mixed border and make good cut flowers for a vase. Alexandre Chauviere bred this cultivar. Give its woody stems room to grow.
Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Obsidian coral bells, and Niobe clematis.
