Notes
'Cheddar Tall Boy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cheddar Tall Boy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant blooms have white guard petals and a gold center tuft. They open mid-season on strong stems about 40 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it.
Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Western sword fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Bells of Ireland.
