Notes

Chinkerinchee (Ornithogalum saundersiae) is a bulb for summer borders, pots, and vases. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Tall stems carry clusters of ivory white flowers with black centers around light green buds from early to late summer. You can treat it like an Allium in the border. It needs good drainage, and it clumps up over time with multiple crowns.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, California poppy, and Ruby rose.
