Notes

'Classic Coral' carnation (Dianthus 'Classic Coral') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. The fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees from spring through autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant through winter.

Pairs well with Catmint, Coneflower, and Black Taffeta coral bells.
