Notes

'Classic' Mexican zinnia (Zinnia angustifolia 'Classic') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, loamy or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It forms a clumping mound that grows fast and tolerates drought. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the white, yellow, orange, and gold blooms.

Pairs well with Sulfur cosmos, Goldy Double sunflower, and Red fescue.
