Notes
Cobra lily (Arisaema nepenthoides) is a perennial for shade gardens and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and moist soil. It has a striped and spotted purple and white spathe with a short, white spadix. The orange stems have purple mottles, and the glossy green leaves are heavily textured. It is one of the earliest to emerge, and it can rise up through other shade plants.
Pairs well with Wood sorrel, Crimson Queen Japanese maple, and Snake's head.
