Notes
'Colonel Michel de Salaberry' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Colonel Michel de Salaberry') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Pink flowers with a cream center open mid-season on stems about 38 to 40 inches tall. The blooms have a subtle, pleasant fragrance, and the frilled center has red edging that looks like flames.
Pairs well with African Queen lily, Ostrich fern, and Black Hero tulip.
