Notes
'Convoy' peony (Paeonia 'Convoy') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, bright red blooms open early and hold their color for a long time on the plant. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Tall, stiff stems carry the fragrant flowers.
Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, Western sword fern, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
