Notes
'J.F. Cooper' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'J.F. Cooper') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms early, in early to mid spring. The large double flowers are deep rose pink and fade to a lighter shade toward the petal tips. Tall, strong stems hold the blooms up well.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Black Hero tulip, Ostrich fern, and Blue sage.
