Notes
'Copley' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Copley') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, bright pink petals have broad white edges and surround golden stamens. It forms a dense, compact bush about two feet tall and blooms earlier than most lactifloras. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Japanese spirea, Garlic chives, and Queen of Night tulip.
