Notes

'Copper Stone' peony (Paeonia 'Copper Stone') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant brick red flowers are single and flat, with wavy petals and 4½ inch blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Niobe clematis, and Blue-eyed grass.
