Notes

'Coral Reef' carnation (Dianthus 'Coral Reef') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and the flowers are fragrant. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, Early Sunrise largeflower tickseed, and Blue fescue.
