Notes

'Cosmic Crisp' apple (Malus domestica 'Cosmic Crisp') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Bees visit the spring flowers. Like most apples, it is not self-fertile, so plant a late-flowering crab apple nearby for pollination. Bruce Barritt led the Washington State University program that developed it from a cross of 'Enterprise' and 'Honeycrisp'.

Pairs well with Flowering quince, Pink Lemonade blueberry, Garlic chives, and Pink Impression tulip.
