Notes
'Crimson Kisses' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Crimson Kisses') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Red flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The arching branches reach 36 to 48 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Obsidian coral bells, and Christmas fern.
