Notes

'Crinoline' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Crinoline') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in early to mid spring with pink, semi-double to double flowers shaded with purple and flecked darker. Wide black flares mark the petals. Michel Rivière bred it, and the dark green foliage grows with strong vigor.

Pairs well with Black Parrot tulip, Hicksii yew, and Grape hyacinth.
