Notes

'Criss Cross' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Criss Cross') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The blooms are pink with black flares. You can cut the stems to bring the flowers indoors. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Greig's tulip, and Prairie dropseed.
