Cristatum spleenwort

Notes

'Cristatum' spleenwort (Asplenium 'Cristatum') is a fern for shade borders, woodland gardens, and container displays. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. It forms a tight rosette of shiny, evergreen, tongue-like leaves. Each frond ends in a crested tip. The vase-shaped fronds give the front of a border a strong, architectural shape.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Lady fern, and Snowdrop.
