Notes
Mountain spleenwort (Asplenium montanum) is an evergreen fern for low maintenance shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. It grows best where the soil is acid or neutral. The fronds stay green through the winter, so it adds color when other plants fade.
Pairs well with Mountain laurel, Alpine hair grass, and Liverleaf.
