Notes

'Crystal Fountain' clematis (Clematis 'Crystal Fountain') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its lilac-blue blooms with cream stamens attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Hiroshi Hayakawa bred it as a sport of 'H'. F. Young.

Pairs well with Little Carlow tartarian aster, Arrowwood viburnum, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
