Notes

'Curly Locks' boxwood (Buxus microphylla 'Curly Locks') is a shrub for hedges, borders, specimen planting, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen mound about 36 to 48 inches tall and wide. Pale yellow spring flowers are fragrant and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with American holly, Halcyon hosta, and Red spider lily.
