Notes

'Cygnet' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cygnet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, pure white single flowers open early in spring and show coral stigmas on strong stems. Col. Jesse C. Nicholls bred it in 1951.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Miss Kim lilac, Picture tulip, and Sedge.
