Notes
'Dad' peony (Paeonia 'Dad') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its single, cherry-red blooms are fragrant and last well, and the stems are sturdy. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Black Hero tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
