Notes

Dai-hocho tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Dai-hocho (or Daibo-cho)') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. A Japanese breeder developed it. The flowers look fine in a vase, and the shrub fits well at the back of a border.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Christmas fern, and Grape hyacinth.
