Notes

'Dark Matter' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Dark Matter') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clumping mound and has fragrant leaves. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Little bluestem, and Jeana garden phlox.
