Notes

Darrow's blueberry (Vaccinium darrowii) is a shrub for borders, containers, pollinator gardens, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy soil. It stays low and spreads into a colony, and the small blue-green leaves have a whitish bloom. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Pink to white, urn-shaped flowers attract bees, and birds visit the small blue-black berries.

Pairs well with Florida rosemary, Slash pine, Deergrass, and Beautyberry.
