Notes

High-bush blueberry (Vaccinium formosum) is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, food gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. White, pink, or green flowers open from early to late spring and into early summer. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds all visit it. It can reach 13 feet tall, so give it room.

Pairs well with Chokeberry, Joe-pyeweed, Switchgrass, and American hornbeam.
