Notes
'David Erickson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'David Erickson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears dark red bomb-type blooms with fine red stamens tipped in yellow. The foliage stays attractive and grows 30 to 32 inches tall. Robert William Tischler bred it.
Pairs well with Orange lily, Blue sage, Ostrich fern, and Sedge.
