Notes

'Daviesii' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Daviesii') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, shade gardens, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It is evergreen and has fragrant blooms in spring and again in summer. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Mountain laurel, Redvein enkianthus, and Columbine.
