Notes

'De Ruyter' Serbian spruce (Picea omorika 'De Ruyter') is a tree for specimen use, accent, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching form grows slowly and stays evergreen all year, and birds visit the tree. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it room so its shape can show.

Pairs well with Hinoki cypress, Lenten rose, and Paperbark maple.
