Notes
'Delicatissima' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Delicatissima') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double, clear pink flowers open in late spring and smell sweet. Strong stems hold the blooms upright, which makes it a fine cut flower. Rosenfield bred it in 1900.
Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Blanket flower, Christmas fern, and Black Hero tulip.
